75 Years | Holzmann Verlag

An unforgettable evening

On 1st July 2011, the renowned publishing company Holzmann Medien from Bad Wörfishofen celebrated its 75th anniversary. During the celebrations in the Haus der Kunst in Munich, presenter Nina Ruge took the approx. 450 guests and employees through an unforgettable evening. With a perfect mix of information and top-class culture and show elements, the media company showed how it combines the traditional and the modern. The head of the Bavarian State Chancellery Marcel Huber expressed congratulations on behalf of Minister President Horst Seehofer and was then, together with the rest of the guests, inspired by the “From solo to symphony” [Vom Solo zur Sinfonie] performance by the international star conductor Christian Gansch, which was accompanied by classical music.

The performance by singer Peter Maffay, who presented his joint commitment with the publishing company to the social project “German Handicraft Helps” [Deutsches Handwerk hilft] to the sounds of his cult hit “Over seven bridges you must go” [Über sieben Brücken musst du gehen]. “Paper meets Haute Couture” was the name of the celebrated presentation by the final year of the Munich Fashion School [Münchner Meisterschule für Mode]. Eight models presented 25 creations and brought one of the most important elements of a publishing company to life in a whole new way – paper.

And as trendhouse staged the anniversary as a look back at the past, a snapshot of the present as well as change, the doors then opened to the side rooms. While the style of the 1940s had set the tone at the beginning, the company was now presented as entirely futuristic. Lots of space for partying, fun and good food. It was the beginning of a very long, joyous night.
