This event saw influencers of the automotive sector come and go: at this year’s AUTOMOBILE FORUM, BMW’s Digital Executive Jens Monsees, VW’s Head of Corporate Strategy Thomas Sedran and Mercedes-Benz’s CDO Sabine Scheunert gave speeches.
The 28th AUTOMOBILE FORUM, one of the largest and most traditional industry get-together, went on for two days and took place at the Hilton Munich Park Hotel, involving everything with regard to the “Digital Agenda 2025”. About 215 participants from boardrooms in the industry had come together to spend the two days discussing the dramatic change the sector will face; Ursula Heller was the host and headed the discussions.
For the first time, the programme included eight young companies who introduced themselves in start-up pitches. Digitisation was not only on the speakers’ agenda, it also played an increasingly important part in realising the event itself: an app was used as a central platform to interact with the speakers and for networking. This offer was very well received by everybody.
The first day of the AUTOMOBILE FORUM 2017 ended with a get-together on the Hilton roof terrace. In keeping with the motto “Fast track to the future”, the guests were taken into the world of virtual games. Apart from exciting Xbox car races, the guests enjoyed a unique night of networking above the roofs of Munich.
